Tier list for every EURO 2024 country, how far could they possibly go in the tournament? (With the rule that one team per group has to be in the group stage.

hello ladies and gentlemen today I will be putting every Euro 2024 country into a tier list based on how far I see them making it in the tournament this summer as you can see we’ve got a tier for each stage of the tournament finalist semi-finals quarterfinals round of 16 at group stage now keep in mind this isn’t a proper prediction video on where I see each team finishing at the end this is just more of an assessment of how far I potentially see them making it maximum at least now I won’t be doing this alone I will be joined with Michael tox football where we each will be giving our own TI list as the video goes on he makes some fantastic content as well so if you’re enjoying the videos here there’s no way you will not love his channel as well so make sure you check him out I’ll leave a link to his channel in the description below and one more thing before we begin the tier list to make it more interesting I’m going to give us the rule that we have to put one team from each group in the group stage tier because realistically I can see any of these teams making it to The Knockout stage of course however I don’t want to leave this tier empty and it will cause more debate as to which of the teams from each of the groups will be the ones to crumble anyway don’t forget to hit the like button subscribe if you’re new and let’s get into it start off with group a the hosts Germany this side has really gone through a shifted form obviously last year they played ton of friendlies and lost way too many when they shouldn’t have given the squad they have on paper well they really turned things around recently in this last International break we saw them grab a very solid win against Netherlands and France and obviously these are just friendly matches so it’s a bit hard to necessarily assess how they’re going to perform that’s all we really have to base off of their form because they didn’t need to qualify for the Euros since they are the host nation now obviously so much individuality on this team this side was looking very doubtful at the end of 2023 but with this recent Improvement in form I think they have what it takes to at least make it to the semifinals I’m a bit too afraid to put them all the way at the final yet which it’s definitely still possible they’re playing on their own home ground but just based off of 2023 and you know just some inconsistencies here and there they’re definitely finding their form and a way to actually glue together showing more passion as a team something still tells me they’ll fall just a bit short in this tournament but still having a very impressive Road yep I would I would put Germany at semi-finals even though it is a very small sample size that we got from the two friendlies but the two friendlies over Netherlands and France it was domination especially against France the way they just move the ball and Tony Cruz coming back from retirement is the key if they didn’t have Tony crw somebody who can control the Midfield I wouldn’t be so highly hopeful of Germany at this summer but this is the similar thing to 2006 not a lot of Hope heading into that World Cup it was more of like a free hit all right can we get far in the tournament this time around there’s a bit more pressure after the last two World Cups and the disaster but the talent they got and the B lusen players from Jonathan T to andri have been great additions I think Germany have what it takes to make it to the semis I wouldn’t put them to make it to the final and win it but I would wouldn’t be shocked but for now it is semi-finals yeah if this were at the end of 2023 before this International break I might put them a little bit lower quarterfinals round of 16 but I think they’re showing a lot of progress but let’s move on to Hungary now this side I’m seeing a lot of people write off and it always just seems to be a pretty big mistake yes sometimes things don’t go their way but they are on some sort of unbe streak right now and they’re usually put in difficult groups look at that Nations League group last time around where they were with England Germany they’re going to meet them once again and Italy they managed to get second place not to mention also in the last Euro tournament they were in the group of death with Portugal Germany and France and yes they finished last place but if you watch the tournament if you watched how all those matches played out they put off terrific fights and it was really down to the end in that match against Germany really that group was wide open on the final match day Hungary now have potentially a more doable group on paper compared to that last year tournament and some of their talent is excelling in that last tournament they were missing Soo Li to injury he should be fit for this tournament Lots under underrated players on this side I’m not necessarily sure where to put them but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a Deep Run I I think they can squeeze out of this group maybe they’ll fall short in the round of 16 I’m going to just push them up a little bit and say they might be able to have a solid run they’re going to be a quarterfinalist team for me that might be a stretch I’m saying they are a candidate to be a potential Dark Horse in this tournament they are one of my two dark horses for the Euros I have them making it to the quarterfinals of the European championship and here’s why Hungary have been excellent under Marco rosi yes they had a tough group of the euros and finished last they gave a game to every opponent even Drew with France nothing changes with this Hungarian team it is 3421 soos the Bane guy and everybody just knows their system and knows their role within this team and that’s what makes them so good they might not have the star studed Hungary team from the golden times that they had back in the 50s and 60s but this team are a well- drilled unit that’s the section I have them in is the quarterfinal and I wouldn’t even be shocked if they make it to the semis we see this every tournament we saw with Wales 2016 we saw Denmark 2021 Hungary can be that team to make it to the semis all right let’s move on to Switzerland now in my first prediction video I was writing off this team as they did not have a good record in the Euro qualifiers yes they qualified at the end automatically obviously but that group should have been a cakewalk for them and they struggled a tad bit picking up more draws than wins and one loss against Romania who top the group now shout out to Romania obviously but Switzerland really looked to lack some kind of form at times defensively for sure we saw them concede three goals to bellus this side have a lot of Legacy in international tournaments and they do have a good track record making it to The Knockout rounds and we saw in the last tournament they had in my opinion one of the best matches in the tournament against France in the round of 16 where they knocked them out on penalties with the final score 33 there’s going to be a lot of question marks as to potentially who’s starting I mean there’s they have two fantastic goalkeepers some are and Cobalt to choose from maybe we will see some defensive errors from this team translating from the Euro qualifiers but I don’t know their friendlies recently have been a bit more convincing obviously you’ve got the likes of shikiri who’s aging but still proven his worth for the national team Jaca has been exceptional at Bayer lusin this season it’s a tough group to decide and obviously I made this rule where we have to put one team in each group at the group stage to if you’re going to bank on one side to make it to the Knockouts based off of their previous history I think Switzerland are definitely that kind of side I think it’s definitely between round of 16 and quarterfinals once again but I’m going to say that they have what it takes to make it to the quarterfinals once again just like they did in the last tournament this is my big shock I have switzland in the group stage of this tier list the reason why I have them in the group stage they have not performed well since the World Cup and we saw it that World Cup in the round of 16 they had the highly emotional game against Serbia they beat them they made it to the round of 16 and then got absolutely walloped by Portugal since then they have been conceding goals and that’s usually something you don’t really see with the Swiss team very organized keep it low scoring but they’re giving up goals to Israel Kosovo three to bellarus to the Romania I think the problem for them is defensively they have got weaker offensively you know they have okaf for emolo who’s coming back from ACL they have a lot of good individual players but I feel like with Mur yatkin they should have gotten away from him after the World Cup and went into a new Direction they didn’t do it and I think they’re going to pay the price and I think they’re going to finish last in this group and go out of the group stage as much as I respect Switzerland highly for all of the years that they have made it out of the group stage and perform well in the world cup and euroes I think that run comes to an end and they go out of the group stage of this European Championship it’s 100% a fair opinion but just judging off of that history man I I see them somehow pulling through once again round of 16 minimum you know what I’m actually going to put them down there I’m going to put them at round of 16 instead of quarter because the points you gave it makes me think that it will end up catching up eventually in terms of that defensive record but still they’ll somehow squeeze through to the Knockouts maybe that third place spot but then for that last team we’re looking at Scotland now obviously I have to put this side at group stage with my rule that I’ve given for both of us don’t get me wrong definitely a side that can prove themselves they had a fantastic Euro qualifier campaign at the beginning they were looking like one of the most informed teams in Europe that first half of matches but but it really just started to sink once injuries were present losing so many matches including in many friendlies as well Midfield is actually looking exceptional with Alexa mctominay pulling through for the national team and John mcin fantastic this season without a doubt Robertson Being Fit will be crucial for this side and he’s just rly picking up injuries throughout the season which does worry me and they are lacking that goalscoring threat up top yes they have mctom pulling through the strings for the team we’ve saw in the Euro qualifiers he scored loads against the likes of Spain Cypress is Georgia Norway I know it’s not a good idea necessarily to base this completely off of history but like I said Switzerland have an amazing record making it The Knockouts Scotland do not they have never made it to the Knockouts in European competitions so I’m going to leave them as my group stage team but obviously I would not be surprised if I’m wrong I think this is one of the toughest groups to predict in the tournament I agree it is one of the most difficult to predict but this is going to be a historic summer for Scotland cuz they have never progressed out of the group stage in the Euros or the World Cup so this could be a historic summer for Scotland I have them in the round of 16 the issue is the striker and they don’t have a clinical Striker from Lynden Dykes or Shay Adams and that’s going to be sort of maybe the downfall for this team but I’m not taking away what they did in the beginning of the qualifiers shows that when they want to play at a top level Scotland can do it and they know if they can beat Switzerland they can get into the round of 16 as one of the third place teams I think they can do it they can even get a draw against h and I think this could be a historic summer for Scotland and I have them making it round of 16 let’s move on to Group B now the group of death as many like to consider starting off with Spain no matter how they finish in this group obviously it’s a very difficult group that will probably be close with the points maybe they’ll finish second maybe even third as the tournament progresses this is a side that I am confident can build momentum we’ve seen them sometimes slip at the beginning of certain International runs tournaments qualifier campaigns whatever and then they end up building themselves back up we saw in the last last year they were looking very shaky in the group stage with marata being very poor in form but then they progressed all the way to the semi-finals of the tournament same thing in the Euro qualifiers that lost to scolin at the beginning and then they ended up topping the group at the end I think out of all of the teams in the group of death I’m obviously hope I’m wrong on this but they look to be the side I am most convinced could make it all the way to the final and potentially win the tournament a lot of people when they talk about the Euro favorites Spain is left too much of the equation I think they have what it takes to at least be a finalist team I have Spain in the semi-finals I’m close to putting them in the final but the one thing that doesn’t give me confidence in this team is the striker yes Morata can be on his day a good Striker but most of the time he’s average and he’s always offside or just doesn’t get involved with the play they have a lot of good youngsters lamin Mal niiko Williams Kari you name it Spain have a talented team the issue is going to be the striker they can control possession but when it gets to a quinal semi-final do they have that guy where you can give the ball to him and say here create Magic for us laminal could be that in the future maybe not this summer Nico Williams could be like that in the future but not now so it’s going to go to the captain of the Spanish national team Morata and are you going to trust him I don’t think so but no doubt Spain are a talented talented team and I think they do play good football defensively they got to be stronger I wonder if the Young Center back like kuari can really step up but for me semi-finalist moving on to to Croatia now in the Euros they don’t have a good track record the furthest Croatia I’ve ever made it in this competition is the first round of Knockouts I am a tad bit worried obviously with that factor but the World Cup success obviously cannot be ignored now there going to be very interesting to see how the team ends up lining up the likes of pesic who’s been injured for most of the Year obviously just transferring to haiduk split budimir I’ve roasted him so much in the past he’s been doing so well in the La Liga recently yeah he ended up getting that last goal to get Croatia to qualify for this tournament against Armenia but still I’m not necessarily sure I fully trust him in the national team shirt the defense is looking young and energetic I think that they can surprise teams in that factor and obviously they got the experience Midfield but I think they have what it takes to potentially beat either Spain or Italy once so that would leave them with the knockout spot could they potentially make it past that round of 16 hurdle that they always seem to crumble in I’m going to say yes but something still tells me they can’t make it much further I’m obviously hope I’m wrong on this but I’m going to say they are a quarterfinalist team there’s just something still lacking in this side and I think if they face one of those massive European Giants they are going to end up crumbling at some point but truly hope I’m wrong and they make it to that final tier as much as we love to roast budimir as we have done for many years he has turned into actually a good striker and that is something that Croatia kind of have been missing since manzukic is a good Striker now do we fully trust budimir in 2024 for the Croatian national team time will tell the guy is excelling at osasuna right now he’s scoring for fun the one thing you touched on about Croatia is the defense gardio I mean a beast the defender lakovic in goal croa have some Ballers and this is going to be luuka modric’s last tournament can he go out with a one more Sensational tournament I hope he can as much as I love Croatia and all of the wonderful stuff they’ve done in the World Cup I still think they’re going to be round a 16 team because I think they’re going to finish third in the group and they’re going to face a first place team I don’t think Croatia have enough but hey never never count out the croatians cuz they always always ere exceed expectations but for me round to 16 moving on to Italia spalti is obviously made this side a bit more energetic a new generation of players this side obviously won the Euros last time around but it’s a very different Squad we’re not going to be seeing that same defensive line legendary defensive line by the way still though they have some quality players that will be replacing these veterans I am honestly really torn on how Italy will do I mean I see quite a bit of people writing them off because they are in the group of death and not many people are taking this new Talent of players they have seriously but they are there are some serious ballers in there Bella has been fantastic for Inter Milan Baston incredible Defender the Marco I don’t see them winning the Euro’s back toback that’s for sure now would I be surprised if they have another Deep Run no but I’m going to say they join Croatia in that quarterfinalist position as much as I love Italy and what they did in last Euro the momentum they had and the Run they had into that European Championship when they wanton it they were on a roll they were defensively solid with bonuchi Kini they had good Strikers they had good forwards everything was just clicking at the right moment now it’s a bit more of we don’t know what’s going to happen it’s up in the air spalti just come into the JW we’re going to see how he transitions with this team they have a lot of good youngsters like Udi caori do they have that same quality defensively compared to four three years ago I don’t think so but who will score the goals on this team it’s going to have to be kza but since the injury kza hasn’t been at that top level and then they have RI at striker who was a good Striker but is he going to be a guy you can really rely on even though I say all that I still think Italy can make it to a quarterfinals and that’s where I where I have them and that leaves us with Albania and obvious viously we both got to put them at the group stage tier now obviously I truly hope I’m wrong on this Albania is a very exciting side in this tournament and I would have them as a potential Darkhorse candidate if they were not in this group what they have done under svino is phenomenal we already know that this side is one of the most passionate national teams with the fans the players but svino is tactically making them great and there’s a lot of great individual performances from players I was not expecting to shine I’m mainly looking at assani I mean this guy plays in the Korean league and he was scoring bangers in the Euro qualifiers now it wasn’t the prettiest campaign they obviously failed to get some results especially at the end they didn’t beat Pharaoh Islands for example but there’s no denying that this squad has been improving and you got to give them all the respect as incredible as Albania have been this is not me trying to discredit them whatsoever but this group wasn’t the best I mean yes they weren’t expected to be over the likes of Czech Republic and Poland by many but we’ve seen Poland massively struggle in form in the group stage of the Eur qualifiers cycling through managers like SOS we’ll obviously get into them later anything’s possible best of luck Albania but you’re my group stage team yeah it’s it’s unfortunate for Albania after such an amazing Euro qualifiers campaign and recently though in the last four games I’ve kind of jumped off the band wagon just a little bit I got my toes off the wagon because they haven’t performed well Pharaoh Islands okay I understand then they lost 3-0 to Chile who yes it was their first game with garea but losing 3-0 that’s not great I call this team the pkas national team cuz all the goals they scored in the European Championship qualifiers were gasos they were absolutely insane they’re going to have to show that individual quality going up against Italy Spain and Croatia can they surprise no doubt they can surprise and I think that’s the element that they can use into these Heros but I just don’t think they have enough they’re going to be highly entertaining but for me they’re group stage let’s move on to group C now starting with the favorites every tournament England despite them never winning it I think that we got a put them at the final I mean they made it to the final last time fell short on penalties to Italy you can make many arguments as to why they should not even be in that final tier one of the biggests I think is that they have a pretty poor track record against sides that look to be even with them on paper they haven’t beaten a top 10 national team ranked by FIFA in quite some time that’s what worries me the most if they potentially face France earlier on this team could struggle but there is no denying that this generation of players is incredible I mean Jude Bellingham is one of the best midfielders right now Saka foden another thing that could hold this team back is Southgate of course many people are disappointed with his tactics style of play not exciting enough with the talent they have along with sometimes not choosing the best players to put in that starting 11 but even with that all being said Southgate has usually had a Deep Run in international tournaments quarterfinals minimum I believe from the last World cup semi-finalist in the world cup before that and then finalists in The Euros so I still think you got to put England in the finalist here again my main concern is who they’re going to face on that road to the final but they should be able to do it yep I have England in the finals I mean it’s pretty obvious this team talent-wise are up there against France but the one thing that could be their detriment is the manager sof he has to get it correct don’t be too defensive allow these attacking players to flourish and express themselves and England can score goals in the group stage they’re going to probably be World beaters and everybody will say they’re going to win the Euros but when it gets to the pressure moments how will this manager and the players perform that is going to be a key key thing to watch but no doubt you look at the team and they’re they’re just stacked with Talent the only position where I would say they’re kind of lacking is left back because Luke Shaw always injured and chilwell is not good enough other than that every position is really really stacked and they’re definitely a finalist in my opinion moving on to slania now a very interesting team they’ve only qualified for € EUR prior to this and they were grouped but they’re looking to improve they have one of the best goalkeepers in the world an upcoming Striker shesko they’ve been in solid form we’ve also recently SE them beat Portugal and end their unbe streak over 2023 this side is also I think in quite a doable group don’t get me wrong none of these teams are going to be easy for them but they’ve already been in a euro qualified group with Denmark they’ve played Serbia recently in the Nations league as well I think that this could be one of those third place teams that could potentially squeeze through to the Knockouts round of 16 and it ends there for me even though Slovenia broke my heart with Finland I have to respect this team because they have a lot of good goal scorers and of course the main man is shesko but got sporar you have LC you have a lot of good individual players and they don’t really need the ball that’s the thing and in this group they’re not they’re not going to have a lot of possession they just recently beat Portugal in are friendly so the confidence level of this team is growing and growing and going in a group where there’s Serbia and Denmark England I don’t think they’re going to beat they could fancy their chances they play good football very Dynamic on the Counterattack but for me they’re still a group stage team I hey I would love to be wrong and we’ll see in the summer I think most people are going to agree with you but for me my group stage team is going to be Serbia now I obviously really hope I’m wrong on this I am rooting for the ex-yugoslavia Nations here but Serbia just keep disappointing me man this is their first ever Euro tournament since becoming independent they have qualified for World Cups previously but every time there they’ve disappointed even when they upset the likes of Germany they still find a way to bottle it in 2010 and in this last World Cup they look to have an incredible generation of players minkovich Savage Duan dadic vlahovich mitrovic all of these great talent but defensively an absolute mess and I think pixie really needs to sort that out he’s been playing with three in the back and I understand why he doesn’t really have incredible fullbacks to utilize again I really hope I’m wrong and I think it’s going to really be up to that match against lania if they can squeeze off for that third place spot maybe they can beat Denmark as well I don’t know I’m obviously really torn about the three teams in this group other than England but for me Serbia is going to disappoint once again they just don’t have any record making it to The Knockouts in any major International tournaments I am shocked I thought he would have backed to more but for me Serbia the best way I can describe serban this is for basketball fans they are the LA Clippers great on paper never performed I mean they’re giving up two goals to Jordan a goal to Bulgaria a goal to Lithuania if you’re conceeding to these nations what’s going to happen when they’re facing England and Denmark or if they even F progress further into the round of 16 they have so much talent time and time again you trust in Serbia they will disappoint you I still think they will make it to round of 16 cuz I think they can beat Slovenia in the group stage after that I got no hope for them they’re rounded 16 I hope I’m wrong because they got a lot of good players Tage vlahovich everybody so good but defensively they are a wreck they can’t keep a clean sheet and you need that in International Football so for me round of 16 let’s move on to that final team Denmark these guys were semi-finalists in the last Euros then they absolutely choked in the World Cup when everyone claimed they would be the Dark Horses of the tournament group stage exit and not the most difficult group lots of great individuality on this team we’ve seen hon despite not being present sometimes for Manchester United he absolutely pulled through for the national team and the Euro qualifiers especially at the beginning one of the top goal scorers of the qualifier campaign Christian Erikson the bench from Manchester United but still for the national team they definitely look up to him and I think he can play and redeem himself after unfortunately having to miss out in the last tournament lots of other great underrated players here Mila can definitely turn up he was fantastic in the last tournament I’m really unsure about this team I don’t think they can make it to the semi-finals once again I don’t think they necessarily have that fire and grit like they did four years ago I’m going to leave it at quarterfinals for now it’s it’s a tough one though yeah Denmark since the World Cup has not been super convincing even though they won a majority of their games in the qualifiers they did not play the greatest and watching them live in person the one thing they were really good at in 2021 and 2020 was they had a lot of creativity they played quickly now it’s a bit more stale slow paced there’s no rhythm with the play and Kasper humand needed to move on or he needed to change something and I don’t see there’s been a lot of changes and a lot of their players are not informed from Mikel domard Christian ericon is not getting a lot of minutes the only one where I’m like yeah he’s going to perform is holand and I think that’s the guy they can Bank on in this tournament cuz he’s not cper dolberg even though KAS dolber had a really good last Euros this is Hyland’s tournament but I just don’t see it the same for Denmark I think they’re around a 16 team for this summer but I hope I’m wrong but yeah their performances have not been convincing as of late moving on to Group D starting off with France come on they have to be in that final tier don’t even think they need too much of an explanation they have some of the best depth out of any of the teams in Europe World Cup finalists yes in the last tournament they got upset to Switzerland it was a thrill of a match it had to go to penalties unlucky there obviously something like that can happen once again but there’s no denying that when you’re talking about potential of how far this team can make it they are always expected to go to the final and win the whole thing as well so I don’t know I see a lot of people having this side as favorites yes there is some question marks with the team tash’s having his doubts on some of their best players like caliba so it’s going to be interesting to see how they line up but regardless like I said the depth is there I don’t think it’s going to necessarily affect the team too much if he makes some questionable calls for that starting 11 and I think that they have what it takes to make it to the final and even win the whole thing yeah you could put them straight into the final yeah it’s just a matter of can they handle the pressure and is this going to be dp’s last tournament we will find out and mbappe he’s got to score this Euros he didn’t score at the last euros and we saw how they went out he missed the penalty and they lost to Switzerland this summer it’s in tournament we saw what he did at the World Cup I’m expecting the same at the Euros Griezmann is still involved they got other good players Marcus turam now getting involved in the national team Z Emy who could be a young baller for them in the Midfield going to be a tough group but I think that will be good test for them heading into the tournament and further on progressing to the final semi-final but for me they’re finalist let’s move on to the Netherlands though I’m seeing a lot of people having mixed emotions about this side great group of players but I got to say I think Coleman is a bit of a downgrade compared to their previous manager yes they ended up qualifying for the Euros at the end but some matches were pretty narrow individuality yes one of the best defenders in the world of end djk Chavis Simmons is on the rise D young can definitely pull through but tactically could they crumble we saw it last time in the Euros losing the Czech Republic in the round of 16 I think they are definitely prone to some kind of situation to like that once again so I’m a bit hesitant to put them further up in the tier list mainly due to them showing a bit of inconsistencies also forgot to mention the Nations League very much disappointing there I thought they they would do so much better given the final was hosted on their home ground I think if we were talking about this prior like during the World Cup I would put them in the semi-finals but now I’m going to say quarterfinals Max yeah Netherlands super talented team the issue is ronal kman and we don’t know how he’s really going to tactically set up at times he’s played with a back five then he’s moved to a back four for the Personnel they have they I think a back five would work best because then you get the best out of Fring pong and Van djk then you have Nicki vanine from Tottenham they have a a lot of talented player who’s going to score the goals is it going to be Cody gakpo can it be Joshua zerki from bolognia they have talented team but I don’t feel like they’re playing at the full Dutch potential and that could be their downfall but still they can make it to a quarterfinal and that’s where I got them at moving on to Austria very very interesting team going into this competition as they were really disappointing few years prior but now they’re really On The Rise under Ralph ragn this team is totally revolutionized they managed to have a very narrow Point Gap against against Belgium in the Euro qualifiers yes most of their group was pretty easy to handle but still beating Sweden head-to-head despite question marks going for that national team is impressive very very underrated Midfield unit alaba’s return is in question looking doubtful due to his injury but still they have a ton of talent that can flourish together and their form has not really stopped it’s only progressing we just saw them defeat turkey 6 to1 in a friendly yes this is going to be a very difficult group for them but I think that they can potentially handle it maybe even upsetting Netherlands I think they have what it takes to minimum be a third place team advancing to The Knockouts and maybe even having a Deep Run there obviously I wouldn’t be surprised if they get knocked out in the round of 16 but I think they have what it takes to make it to the quarterfinals I I’m even tempted to maybe put them in the semi-finalist spot cuz I have Germany alone there but I think that right now if you’re going to ignore also each of the groups in terms of each team individually Austria could be that Dark Horse this summer Austria are a great team what Ralph ragn has done he had a bit of a difficult start with Austria since then they are just flowing this what this could have International Football Austria optimized that perfectly and for me they are my other Dark Horse for this euros and I think they will make it to the quarters so that is my prediction Austria to the quarters and hey maybe even the semi-finals that leaves us with Poland in this group and I’m going to have to put them at group stage sorry pska but with this rule I think it’s fair the Euro qualifier campaign was very disappointing Hanging On by a thread not even doing it automatically having to go to the playoffs and beating Wales on penalties there yes congratulations for qualifying of course but given the talent it just should have been better obviously they’re cycling through managers it’s going to take them time to necessarily build up that form after sos’ disaster class we got to keep in mind this side lost to the likes of malova one of the worst ranked UFA Nations so out of all the teams in this group how can I be banking on them to maybe make it to the Knockouts I’m sorry they’re going to be my group stage team yeah they’re my group stage team as well even though I love bisha they are not a good team I mean that hiring of Fernando Santos might be one of the worst choices I have ever seen International Football and that was their detriment they were not able to build upon something then they had to go for another manager and they kind of squeaked by through the playoffs obviously they’re going to beat Estonia the game against Wales it was a bore fist they go to penalties and that’s where they came up clutch and shz I mean the shes is going to have to be superh human like he was at the World Cup against Argentina but he’s going to have to do that for three games Poland they don’t really have a good Midfield yes obvious they have zinsky and those guys but they don’t control it they’re going to give up a lot of chances I hope I’m proven wrong leowski is most likely his last tournament with Poland as well so hopefully he can have a good sendoff but for me they’re in a very very tough group and they are group stage team moving on to group E starting off with the favorites in that group Belgium yes their golden generation from years prior is gone now essentially still some standouts like Lukaku de bruyne Cal will be injured though not playing in this tournament yes very different Squad but I am convinced in the youngsters that they are bringing they’re getting some very impressive numbers very electric attackers can definitely throw teams off Jeremy doku the biggest example but there’s so many other names out there I don’t know I’m hopeful in Belgium I was criticizing them lot in the World Cup because they look like a mess but New Management new players I think they have what it takes to have a Deep Run now this might be ambitious maybe people are saying they’re I’m overrating them a bit too much but I’m going to put them all the way at the semi-finals they could crumble earlier but they’ve been very convincing even without the likes experience there problem is defensively they just don’t have the quality compared to when they had company Veron and aliv those Prime defenders in the golden generation they’re lacking in that department the attacking wise they’re probably going to outscore every opponent there is a lot of Talent on this Belgian team is it compared to the golden gener ation definitely not but for me they are quarterfinalist let’s move on to Ukraine next I think this is one of the more convincing teams that just freshly qualified from those playoffs in the qualifier playoffs they did pick up narrow victories against Bosnia and Iceland but prior to that they shared points with Italy just falling short to third place incredible Talent here we see those two stars on Jona doek and zonov mudri yes not the most brilliant for Chelsea but on the national team he proves himself quite a bit zenko isn’t what he used to be I think for the national team but still an absolute warri and gives all the passion no matter what they have a lot of depth in the goalkeeper position as well Ukraine are looking really convincing going into this tournament I think they are one of the favorites to qualify to The Knockouts in this group for sure and I’m going to say they have what it takes to make it all the way to the quarterfinals Max I agree I think Ukraine are a quarterfinalist team the issue for them is defensively they give up a lot of chances and give up a lot of goals I think they were really well tested in the qualifiers in the same group as England and Italy they’re stacked in almost every department but the one player I’m excited most to watch is zakov from shakar donet cuz watching him in the Champions League and watching him against Iceland he’s a baller I think Ukraine they got a lot of talent it’s just that they cannot keep going behind in every game they seem to just go one nil down and then in the last 20 minutes or 30 minutes they pull it together and they win the game you cannot do that in an International Tournament but they still got so much talent for me quarterfinalist now I got to ask you who is your team to advance The Knockouts between Romania and Slovakia Romania between a Romania and Slovakia it’s a tough choice it’s 50/50 I wouldn’t bat an eye if you chose Slovakia but for me Romania even though you can say oh it was an easy group with Israel Switzerland did they really get tested defensively they are a solid team when they want to defend I know the recently in the friendly they gave up three goals to Colombia I’m not too worried about that in this group all they have to worry about is beating Slovakia that’s their main goal they can get a point against Ukraine they they can can get the win against Slovakia and seeing them in the Nations League a couple years ago when they were playing against Finland I was like okay they got a lot of good attacking forwards the Midfield it just needs to sort of control the games but counterattacking wise I saw that against Switzerland especially when they were two-nil down they can just score like that instantly so for me they just have a bit more quality upfront compared to Slovakia and that’s why I have them in the round of 16 but nothing further than that they round of 16 for me as well Slovakia the group stage team 50/50 like you said though I mean Slovakia 100% have what it takes to prove themselves they were fantastic in the Euro qualifiers themselves only losing to Portugal and also being the only team to score against Portugal in that group so definitely am not going to write them off but if we got to put one team there I’m edging it towards them but exactly like you said though mainly because of that incredible Romanian defense it was just so solid throughout let’s move on to that final group though Portugal first up now many people have high expectations for this team Euro winners in 2016 and that Squad is looking obviously totally different now much better as well yes Ronaldo not at his prime anymore but he’s backed around so much incredible Talent Portugal are expected to shine here I’m seeing a lot of people are expecting maybe like a France Portugal final yeah I I don’t know if that’s going to be the exact final but I’m saying they are one of the finalist teams they definitely have what it takes to florish here under Belgium’s previous manager as well they have been Rock Solid in the qualifiers he always was solid with Bel Bel and the qualifiers as well I see him having more motivation with this squad as well totally new Talent undefeated for all of 2023 Portugal should be taking this tournament by storm yeah for me they’re finalist I mean the talent they got even though I don’t trust Martinez when it comes to International tournaments when it gets to a quarterfinal semi-final I think the quality they got can just disperse any sort of tactics because from J to ja fix to Rafael to Nuno Mendes to anybody you want Antonio Silva to Ruben the amount of talent and star studed players they got is ridiculous they had a great qualifiers but were they really testing the qualifiers that’s why I would have liked to seen a high friendly match against in England or an Italy they didn’t happen but still they are by far the best team in this group and they’re going to have a good road to the final and I think they can make it to the final moving on to Turkey the most unpredictable national team in my opinion this side just randomly massively disappoint they did in the last yearo tournament they also just lost to Austria 6 to1 things aren’t looking too convincing for them but at the same time they just prove themselves unexpectedly all the time whenever people write this side off they somehow impress and I think they can in this Euro tournament in this group at least make it to the Knockouts I’m putting them at the round of 16 because I still think they have a lot of incredible Talent they just need to be secure to gel together and properly flourish AR the G fantastic youngster obviously chah honglu has not been the same for the national team as he has been for inter Milan but for in Milan he has been one of their best players they have some solid Defenders as well kogu I think turkey if they just tactically get it together they should be able to make it to the Knockouts but I see them crumbling in the round of 16 I’m putting no stock in Turkey Bean Dark Horses cuz we all learned that lesson in 2021 but for this tournament I think they can make it to a round of 16 which would be good because last tournament they went out of the group stage in an embarrassing fashion the amount of talent that turkey have from a g to on yis they have some superstars in their making but they’re young they’re 18 so you got to look at the likes of Osan Kucha honog deir they got to step up as being the leaders for these young guys and let the young guys then flourish you just can’t trust this team they put in a good performance Beed Germany away 3-2 and then lose 61 to Austria I’m not putting any stock round 16 that’s it now for Czech Republic also going to be a tough team to call because we saw in the last yearo tournament they were fantastic quarterfinalist defeating Netherlands in the round of 16 we saw some bangers being scored from this side especially from the likes of Patrick schik was phenomenal at tournament he’s just returned from injury has now scoring for Leverkusen once again very very good team but if you look at their previous record it’s always a solid run in the Euro tournament followed with the group stage exit it’s just in that exact pattern so right now if we’re going to follow that pattern they’re going out in the group stage but again if we’re going with the quality they have experience in this tournament as well they definitely have more experience than Georgia because Georgia are debutants I think Czech Republic have what it takes to make it to the Knockouts and for me they’re also a round of 16 team yep I have Czech Republic as a round of 16 team even though they just now changed their manager SI AI left and Alik is the new manager so they’ve only going to have four games with the new manager until the start of the Euros which is not the greatest preparation but Patrick shik the guy is an absolute goal if you want to goal in the last five minutes you call shik and he will get you the goal cuz he’s Mr Clutch for bolus and and he scores for fun for Czech Republic but I don’t think they can further than to the quarterfinal I think round of 16 is maxed to them and then finally Georgia the Second Debut in this tournament if you want to count Serbia congratulations to them for qualifying obviously but yeah as you can see they are going to be both of our group stage teams obviously they have what it takes to prove us wrong 100% great individuality from certain players on this team kicha quadell being the biggest example madash their goalkeeper a few other hidden gems in there if you’re going to base this off of experience and what they have to offer in the tournament it’s the safest to put them at group stage compared to the other teams we’re all going to root for Georgia but they’re going to be a group stage team they can definitely surprise though and they should look at Czech Republic and turkey and say we can beat them they got players M like you talked about karele M the striker they’re all in good form but we always see with sometimes debutants the moment gets too big and the occasion is so bright that sometimes some of the players that perform so well in the qualifiers fade away I hope that’s not going to be the case for Georgia I really hope they can play good football cuz Sago the manager has done an amazing job it’s a brilliant moment and historic moment for Georgian football but for me group stage I hope I’m really wrong though yeah like you said Czech Republic recently changing managers
