Join me as I bike pack the west cost of Scotland by Brompton P line. Starting in Glasgow and finishing in Glenfinnan covering 240km over 3 days. I’m new to bike packing and have a lot to learn but we all start somewhere. Couldn’t help but wonder during this What is the best brompton to tour with?

alive cuz it’s keeping me alive [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] right so here’s the setup I’ve not really talked over it yet because of the Mad Dash of day one but as we already know I have the ruck sack here which was cut down in size which holds my sleeping bag my sleeping mat and my liner and currently a laptop but that’s not going to be a permanent fixure so that bag is actually not bad um what I’ve had to make do with at the back here is my roller rack bag which takes all my daily Essentials in it so like my charging bag some food camera equipment all the other good stuff and above it we have the tent now I left with the tent just hanging out here I naturally obviously slid off but I tied it around the post but what I’ve actually finally discovered on this bag there there two tie points here and here so I’m putting the string around that to T on the bag so it can’t actually fall off and because that’s tight there’s not much play for it to move forward out of the securing strap and then when I was in the fairy over I just got these elastic bands that I found and these elastic bands are perfect cuz they just bring it up and cinch it to the top and then the insta 360 above it so I can get those nice side shots only thing I’d like to tweak on this is to maybe get a bracket to level it up um I and I think for me going forward if I was to look just now what would be the ideal bag it would still be the butter rolling rack bag but if I could just have it built up even more so if that could actually go pretty much all the way up to the saddle I’d probably be able to squeeze everything in it um so I’m curious if that’s actually a thing [Music] I wasn’t easy one to Blue Light and bl just a regular [Music] to but some you just don’t realize [Music] even though they’re happening right in front of your eyes I’m not even sure just what went wrong all I know I’ve stayed here for too long some tears are softer [Music] anothers sometimes even Goen R some tracks will s change colors and that’s what makes it hard to know just walk to Dr and even go can ride now I’m slowly building up [Music] again got new neighbors finding some new friends think it even does me good to take this time alone I’m pretty sure sure it’s better than just staring at the phone I’m not even sure just what [Music] wrong all I know I’ve stayed here for too long some tears are softer than others [Music] sometimes even go can run fls will suddenly change color that’s what makes it hard to know just want to [Music] Dr when all got you believe has turned to dark even go can run [Music] [Music] good morning um don’t really know what to say so last yesterday was 100K day and it was pretty exhausting it really really was um I’m actually sto in open to get some food as you seen and then had to cycle 5K out to come to this camping spot here little did I know because it was only 5K I didn’t check the gradient and it’s just massive house I went up a massive Hill and then luckily down to get here but what it means now is I’ve got a massive Hill going out with all the kit again and I remember going down the hill being like poor poor planning um but the camp spot here has actually been not bad I did Pitch in a rock but around here we got some pretty lovely sights really good little spot got a car coming behind me and it was actually really quiet um I think there’s probably many can relate like when you’re tired and you just want to get in your bag then you kind of pick any spot and yeah my brain just wasn’t firing all cylinders but today was a night epic cuz I had a couple of let’s say charging complications which then seen me having to sleep past my alarm how often does that happen when you’re camping and it had me cycling back to Orin to get charge which meant up and down the hill and then back up and back down the hill to pack the tent away and get on for what is another around 80k day up to Fort William but still a little bit numb but you know what it’s all in the interest of fun so I’m going to get this packed away and get back on the road um but there’ll probably be less updates today because I have to conserve my phone battery see you on the
