Hi,

I bought this topeak handlebar bag and it seems to attach the bag well but there are these straps that dangle from the buckle (it’s the same strap that goes through the buckle). They’ve got some velco on the ends but i can’t see how they’re used? I figured they would be for attaching loose bits to the harness, but even that i don’t see how to do. For now I’m just going to wrap the dangling straps up, but would be nice to know if they’re useful for anything?!

Cheers!

Not familiar with this bit of kit but the extra slack might be so you can wrap something up under there like a sleeping pad, compression bag, tent, whatever. I’d probably just tie them up somewhere if I wasn’t using the extra.

  2. IIRC you use the velcro tabs at the end of the straps to tuck them in somewhere, I have that same bag but I can’t find it at the moment to check for you.

You are supposed to roll the excess strap up and secure it with the Velcro from unrolling it self again.

I have the Topeak front loader, to roll the straps up an secure the roll with the velcrostrap. 👍
