I can’t for the life of me figure out how to close this space at the headset. I’ve tried to compress the headset as much as I can. I removed everything and put it back. I tightened the compression plug and everything. Is this normal? How do I close this space?

I’ve seen this on a fair amount of Ritchey frames. Seems to be relatively normal.
This topic came up on the Ascent FB group a couple years ago…Fergus (Ritchey) chimed in on it.

If it doesn’t feel loose it should be fine. My bike looks about the same
