He found it in his dad’s garage and dad said he could have it. It wasn’t in rideable shape, but really just needed a good dusting and a tune up. Original tires and all, came with a cool portage-style frame bag too that isn’t pictured. It rides great. Only a few wear issues that may need addressing in the future, but it’s still got its original 3×5 gearing and everything. Might eventually build new hubs onto these rims, they’re pretty burly and in great shape—he’d like to have updated gearing and QR tho. Gotta do a custom build bc the rear is 130mm spacing smh…
Would do a build sheet but all I changed was a couple cables, grips, and brake pads really. Grips are pretty sweet, some ODI Vans grips that someone swapped onto anodized red sleeves—perfect fit for this bike and were only 5 bucks at a local parts swap. Color-matched bars and stem are pretty funny. I think my favorite detail is the hole in the stem to hang the canti cable.
New tires are coming in the near future, likely some Billy Bonkers. Unfortunately my friend is dealing with some health issues at the moment so I’ll be hanging onto it for a while, but I have his blessing to ride it if I want to. He’s given me the go ahead to do a full custom build, but we don’t even know if the bike fits him so I’m having to hold off unfortunately… lol
Fellow Cannondale riders tap in! Would like to see some of your builds. Cheers

So much love for older cdales. I miss the few I had. Here’s my fav. Started as a roadie then became my all rounder commuter underbiking rig once I found out 32mm tires fit.
