I’m looking for an entry level, budget friendly bike. Hoping to spend less than $900 (I know my choices are limited).
I’m new here, and looking for a bike that will be a decent option for longer trail riding and bikepacking. These are both listed at $750 right now with free shipping.
I generally like the Specialized more, but am worried that I’ll regret the 1×9 on long climbs. I’ve also read that the brakes on it aren’t great, but seems like that could be a simple upgrade in the future.

Most trail riding will be in Wisconsin/UP area, but am hoping to take this bike on the Colorado trail next summer.
Can you put both bikes in a 99spokes compriason and share the link?
Does one of them have a dealer near you, where you can go get parts and service if needed?
