Hi all!
Recently my rear pads worn out and had to change them since they weren’t giving me any braking power.
After the change, although the brake seems better, I feel the action point is WAY too close to the bar, feels like no brakes till that point shown in the photo and I’ve got to touch the bar to lock.
The front however feels nice, locks midrange and I’m not able to push further than that.
Is there something wrong with the rear brake? Do I need to bleed the system?

Tighten up the rear brake cable or unscrew the cable adjustment knob near the handle a bit
1) if you used your rear brake more, most likely your rear pads are almost done or done. A new pad set will fix this problem. I’m assuming this is more likely.
2) YOu are leaking fluid on your rear somewhere. Trace the right brake line from lever to caliper, if you see oily fluid then you are leaking fluid.
Your pistons adjusted for less material in the pads and are now further out than the front. Bleed both brakes. When the pads are out, push both pistons flush with the caliper housing, there’s a tool for it, or you can use your blocks that come with the bleed kit. Do you have a reach adjustment on the lever? If so, adjust accordingly.

Seems strange that the rear brake started doing this AFTER you installed new pads. New pads should be thicker and therefore your lever should be further from the bar, not closer to it.
You should be able to adjust the lever travel, but I suspect something else may be wrong. Did anything bad happen during the pad change? Like someone grabbed the lever and a piston fell out, or something like that? If so, you probably need to bleed the brake.
Burp your right brake. it’s quick and easy.
This could be indicative of air in the line….or an adjustment on ur reach screw…
Check you rotor and reach screw, otherwise bleed.
You need to brake more with your fronts. It’s where 80% of your braking power comes from.
