I have the 2022 Specialized Diverge (size 58)

Just bought this rear rack:
* Topeak Super Tourist Tubular Bicycle Trunk Rack DX with Side Bar for Disc Brake Bikes
* [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ZKHN6Y](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ZKHN6Y)
And this trunk bag to go with it:
* Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DX
* [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0187ZRLX8](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0187ZRLX8)
Worth noting I’m also getting this 125mm dropper post installed:
* PNW Components Rainier Gen 3 Travel Adjust 27.2 mm Dropper Post – 125 mm
* [https://www.rei.com/product/203389/pnw-components-rainier-gen-3-travel-adjust-272-mm-dropper-post-125-mm](https://www.rei.com/product/203389/pnw-components-rainier-gen-3-travel-adjust-272-mm-dropper-post-125-mm)
And getting these new tires put on:
* Panaracer – GravelKing SK Plus Tire (700 x 43)
* [https://www.gearx.com/panaracer-gravelking-sk-plus-tire-tubeless-folding-protite-protection](https://www.gearx.com/panaracer-gravelking-sk-plus-tire-tubeless-folding-protite-protection)
I read online that people have had some issues setting up rear racks on the Diverge and have needed to purchase additional seatpost clamps, like this:
* [https://www.amazon.com/Vincita-Seatpost-Clamp-Carrier-Fixation/dp/B07KM1HS6F/](https://www.amazon.com/Vincita-Seatpost-Clamp-Carrier-Fixation/dp/B07KM1HS6F/)
Do I need to buy one of these? \^
Will this rack fit well with the new tires?
Will the dropper post be pretty much rendered useless while I have the trunk bag on?
Wondering if anyone else have this sort of setup or has thoughts on it?

That bike frame doesn’t have the lugs that you need for a rear rack on the seat stays. You may be able to fit it with an adapter, but I’m not sure.
I’m just choosing a frame for my new commuter, and I’m ignoring any frames that don’t have the pair of bolts at the top of the rear triangle (seat stays, usually) for attaching the top part of the rack. Almost all “road’ bikes and half of the “gravel” bikes are missing them these days, no idea why.
I believe that some manufacturers do sell a special rack that fits these kinds of frames, Giant in particular, but they’re specific to the frames that company makes, so good luck.
