As the title states, I’ve been researching bikes and feel that the Canyon Grail CF SL 7 ticks all of my boxes. I plan on doing 80% road and 20% gravel/grass as connecting routes etc. No racing but will look to get an hour or so a day ride in, and hopefully longer on weekends.
Mainly I’ll be doing this for exercise on top of current weight lifting, and also to improve my cardio and leg strength.
The issue I have is when I try to research the bike online, people are only reviewing (youtube/google/reddit) different variants, and not the one below. Is something wrong with this bike? Is it not worth the money? Am I missing something? I’m completely new to the road/gravel cycling world so apologies if this sounds a bit stupid. I’ve only ridden cheap bikes over the past years.

Thanks in advance

It’s a perfectly fine bike. Reviewers just tend to always review the top end model
There is a Canyon subreddit.
I have a Canyon MTB and love it. I am eying the grail for many months but it’s just not in the budget.
But once I am in the gravel game – it will definitely be a Canyon
Its Great. I rode over 1500km with it, 70% and 30% gravel. A rocket disguised as a bike🚴♂️💨
Love my grail. Most of the hate was toward the hover bar version that I have. It’s a really great bike worth considering for your stated needs. I am 60/40 gravel and it is perfect.
