Hello!
A newb here! Haha I wanted to get into biking. It’s for leisure. I live in LA, about 20 mins from the beach and 45 mins from trails. I intend on using the bike for both conditions so I am assuming a hybrid bike may meet my needs? I want to also be able to attach a child trailer. My husband and I will probably take turns hauling it around. I do want the option to install a rear rack or a front basket to hold things. I am 5’0” so I’ve been gravitating towards step through bikes. I have a bad back so I’ve been looking into upright or slightly more upright positions. I assume I’ll be riding for 1-3 hours at a time.
I have been looking at the Retrospec Barron Plus Comfort Hybrid Bike (see photo) but I see mixed reviews, seats being uncomfortable.
I also have been looking at Sixthreezero A/O Serena (see photo)
I am unsure if these are decent brands since I’m not looking to spend too much on a beginner bike. But wanted to reach out to the community for some advice. 🙂 any advice on types of bike or brands would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
