I’m curious about what pedals appear to be better for my xc MTB? I’ve used the black ones for about 15 years. The silver are were lightly used and given to me. Both are Shimano, but I can’t find the exact model. I would weigh both if I could get the black ones off ! 😂

Looks like the black ones are m-520 and the silver are a slightly upgraded m-540. They’re basically equivalent, but the silver ones have a higher quality spindle and are slightly lighter. If it were me, I’d keep riding the 520s until they start to make noise and then switch to the 540s
the left ones are way more mud resistant (it’s fairly obvious when you think about it)
