I don’t know if this works for the sweat but concerning the bearings: wipe them down, remove the seals (be careful not to damage them), flush the bearings with penetrating oil and re-pack them with grease. Re-install the seals and if the bearings are still crunchy after turning them a couple timea by hand, they’re toast and meed replacement.

    Edit: if you want to put some miles on this frame, probably look for replacement bearings anyway as these look pretty beat up, but for the moment you can try re-packing them to get the bike going I guess.

  2. To get the cups/outer bearing races out of the frame buy 2-3 liters of Coca-Cola and soak the headtube in there overnight. It works, sounds dumb, but it works.

    Pour the Coke into a dogbowl/mixing bowl and hang the frame from the rear dropout.
