Hello, I would like some help figuring out what caused this pop so I can avoid it happening again. In the photo you can see a small tear, with a little symmetrical bump right above it. This is on the inside of the tube that makes contact with the wheel, not the road. All of the air also leaked out while the bike was not being ridden- I was sitting near my bike and all of the sudden heard it hissing out air. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Looks like the tire bottomed out hitting something and the tube got pressed hard against the spoke holes on the inside of the rim

That happens sometimes, the tube doesn’t always fail from the damage immediately

Sturdier rim tape like the blue plastic Schwalbe/Shimano tape would likely have prevented this, also running a higher tire pressure might have helped avoid it.
I agree with the other comment. This looks like potentially be due to having no rim tape, or broken/old/weak rim tape.
