Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Bluesky Threads I somehow over tightened the screw and it broke. Cannot be saved ? I tried with a screwdriver but without success. Shall I start searching for a new one ? The front derailleur is shimano 600 tricolour by christ0v Bicycling Bike Bike Repair Biking Cycling Repair
frantafranta on April 28, 2024 1:53 pm If the problem is only to take out the screw, then most likely yes, it can be saved. Tryo to grip the protruding part with grip pliers (or, better, a vise, if you have one). Best would be to wel a nut over it. If all else fails, file it smooth, drill it out and tap the hole to use a larger screw.
