Brand new bike. Never had centerlock discs before. Noticed something was feeling clunky, took off the lock ring and disc has this much play. All the teeth are looking OK.
is it tightened enough? if it is then somethings for sure broken, i tightened mine by hand and they dont clunk by any means.

That’s perfectly fine, and completely normal. You just need to install the lock ring properly, and it will go away.

On rare occasions, even tightening to the correct spec won’t fix this problem. You can buy thin shims that go between the disc and the hub which will take up the space, so your rotor doesn’t wobble.
Yes, it is. The disc is supposed to be mounted to the hub with a lockring. Without a locking torqued to specs it will move, or fall off. Also, braking power is applied in only one direction, it will not move while you are braking.
