Dear redditors,

I have a question about dynamo hubs. I’m riding a while now with a 700c wheel with a son dynamo hub, coaxial adapter and a supernova ligt. Now I also got my hands on a Shutter Precision dynamo hub I want to lace in a 650b wheel. Now my question is: I want to swap wheelsets, one with the son dynamo hub and the other with the sp dynamo hub. But on the same bike with the same supernova headlight. I don’t want to solder a new wire everytime i switch wheels. Is there a universal connector/plug or something I could make to make this work? The coaxial adapter i’m using now does nog fit the sp hub.

  1. You might be able to use [these](https://supernova-lights.com/en/products/supernova-goldstecker-set) down towards the fork dropout, but a few inches of wire away from each of the different connectors. (You will need 2 sets).

They are cool because they don’t require soldering, and can be crimped instead (once crimped they can be connected/reconnected as many times as you want).

I’m not familiar with the coaxial set up though, which may not work with them. The [instructions](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0585/1286/7505/files/20210330_Goldstecker-Anleitung_WEB.pdf?v=1634897717) should give you an idea how they work, and if it will work with your setup.

  2. I would get another coaxial female connector and connect it to a short piece to the SP connector.
