Stourton roundabout in Leeds heading towards Rothwell and Robinhood via the A61.
If you don’t want to ride the gauntlet of the traffic at Stourton roundabout and beyond then you are not left with much choice other than having to use this. Many years ago it was a path but it has been neglected for years now.
The only thing that is done is once a year someone comes along and cuts the grass around the 2nd tiny piece of path in the clip.
The majority of that route home is a disgrace.
Ironically if you are coming in to Leeds there is a cycle lane that routes you through the Park & Ride at Stourton …. that’s actually comical as well as it just ends without warning as well. That deserves a video as well.
But the point is there is a poor cycle lane / route to get in to Leeds but absolutely no provision for you getting back home again unless you want to mix it up with the traffic going to Pontefract, Wakefield or the Motorway!!
Your only other option is this. Poor, just poor.
