I loved seasons 1 and 2. Best thing I've seen in awhile. Then, I don't know, it lost me. Too much DEI stuff in it.

I’ve really enjoyed the overall arc of the show. But can we please do away with the panning jump cuts every 3 seconds, the lens flares and partially obscured shots for dramatic effect.
Also wish that they killed off that most annoying of characters… Plot Armour. A cast of characters that are never really in any actual danger, that kills any investment we make as the audience. This crew has more plot armour than The Avengers do… and these people aren’t even super heroes. I can suspend my disbelief seeing Thor do stuff that would liquify a mortal. He’s literally a god. But when Burnham does it 3 times per episode, it’s just lame and boring. There’s no reason, other than she needs to in order for the plot to move forward. And that’s the absolute peak of lazy writing.
I am sad this show is over, because it was the only one focused on the future and new stories. Strange new world is really good show but in the same era as all other tv series before that. And the upcoming new tv shows are again in the same time – The academy and Section 31. We need something new, something more from the 30-40 century time period.
So more thin storylines, shoot-em ups, from the worst Trek franchise ever.

The reason why this show didn't work for me was Wes, they lost the original formula of focusing on the seven crew members on the bridge. Too many extra characters and no deep dives into the bridge crew.

least of my favorite star trek, especialy the last few seasons, something about it seem " off" hard to explain for starters technology bcame so advanced it became to far fetched. so on and so forth, i watch it and fast forwad to scenes where there is combat since everything else to far fetched and wierd and crew reactions to each other feels like between best bros rather then within chain of command

I don’t get why this is getting so much hate. It’s so good and I just love it. People need to stop with the hate. The thing I love the most is how once a mutineer originally is now a Captain, so after all you can make change if you want to. I am incredibly disappointed that this is the final season of Discovery as I do believe there is much more to explore and maybe it’ll get renewed in the near future? Who knows, all we can do is hope.
