I’ll also be upgrading the bars to 4 piece bars, 2.4 inch tan wall tires, a LHD freecoaster wheel, and of course, sealed bottom bracket and headset bearings. Looking for lower budget frames that are In the same (or close) gloss red colour that I can get preferably (lightly) used to save money. What length top tube should I get?

i dont have any recommendations really but i see you are in coastal BC! come to gorilla jam bro, May 18ths Saturday at Vic West Skatepark in Victoria. lots of prizes and and all around good time. id bet you could win some tires or something at least!
Im 5’8 and ride 21 tt and 9.5 rise bars and it feels great. Id say a 21 should fit you well along with 9.5-10 inch bars
Full factory usually has a lot of options for Bsd frames and they’re relatively affordable
Bsd safari! No break tabs but the TT goes all the way up to 21.8 so you can get a nice size for your height there as well as the frame feels super good to ride. One of my friends has the 21.8tt version and it feels mental to ride yet somehow still very comfy and controllable so definitely recommend!
Autum is doing a sale on 20,5″ TT frames
Im 5’9″, and i used to have a 21″tt, which was a little too big for me now i have a 20.75″ and it feels amazing
Man I miss being that young
Bike fit is highly preferential. I’m the same height as you and I prefer 20.75-20.8” top tube lengths. Currently on a 20.75” Battleship. Friend of mine that’s also the same height rides a 20.4” Total frame. As you progress you’ll determine what you’d like; this will likely involve some experimenting with different sized frames/bars/fork offsets, but after awhile you’ll figure out what’s best for you.
Now – get to shredding!
We the people pathfinder or battleship. Or a Fiend Reynolds V2, they’re sick asf too
