Not sure what you did… but it looks pretty ruined…

Looks pretty ruined to me. But I’d take it to an expert to asses the damage. Did you have a rack on there?
SingleTrackEnthusist on
Kind of. It looks like carbon and an expert could repair this. Including putting the original boss back in for whatever went in these mounting points. Usually costs a few hundred dollars.

Fixable but won’t be able to use those holes anymore. Send it my way and I can fix it for ya :).
Mr-Blah on
Yep. I’m guessing you used those fender bosses for a rack?
But really, you should post more details… A picture and “is it ruined ” isn’t exactly helping…

Rhetorical question, right? There is a chunk of seat stay missing.

I snapped a seat stay on my carbon road bike. I found a handful of repair shoos and got a quotes. They ranged from $400-$600 (USD), plus shipping, without anything fancy like paint matching or whatnot.
So, not ruined.
Lots of people do their own, but i got a 5 year warranty on the work and didn’t want to worry about my ham-handed craftsmanship.

Classic Canyon frame. That being said those are for mounting fenders and I’d venture to say panniers were mounted. Just take it into your local Canyon dealer for inspection 😂🫣😬

Yeah bro that’s well fucked.

Tore out the weak ass threaded insert? Carbon folks never learn.

No. That can be repaired professionally. It won’t be cheap, but it’ll be cheaper than a new frame.
Madmax3213 on
Yes absolutely. It is fixable though

I could fix that with some fiber glass cloth and epoxy. It would be fugly, but it would be safe and effective.

This can be fixed but … it is worth it? Looking at the cassette it is not a very old bike. You will pay $500 + paint to fix it and the resale value just dropped to the ground.

This is repairable.
