    The Tizer World Freestyle Championships was a four-part BMX Beat! TV special hosted by Andy Ruffell with Ron Stebbene. The series featured some of the best BMX freestyle riders in the world at that time including the amazing Mat Hoffman and UK riders Craig Campbell, Dave Young, and Jason Hassell. The shows were the highest rated of all the BMX Beat shows and were broadcast on The UK’s ITV national network. Filmed at the Carlisle leisure center in the north of England in late 1987 and broadcast in 1988.

I used to entertainment the crowd on bmx beat id come on and do my tricks during the breaks.I remember Andy ruffle introducing me on the mike saying i was there and show them how its done.i could do a 360 airal.I had a tiny bmx that was super lightweight i was offered a sponsorship from Raleigh with Andy ruffle as my mentor but Raleigh bmx's were trash far to heavy.Fond memories it was a new thing all the kids must of got a bmx for Christmas when i got mine.Happy days.
