The scars are from the friction caused by the chain lock, which I placed there while riding. I’m going to stop doing that. But now, I’m wondering if there’s any treatment I should apply to improve its durability over time, like spraying it with something.

Clear fingernail polish is one tried and true solution.
Auto spray paint is a good option.
U can ask your lbs if they can get a touch up pen from cube for your bike or the color in general. Got mine last week and it came with 2, one for the color and one for a clearcoat after drying.
It is aluminium. It doesn’t matter. Leave it as is.
