I’m going to add a pannier to the front end of my Bullitt cargo bike, below the handlebars… (Don’t working I have a rack that works.

Can anyone explain the difference between the materials of the Ortlieb bags? I really like the old-school shiny PVC look, but they have become harder to get. What other materials of theirs have the high gloss finish?

Also, what is the ‘core’ material? I can’t find out much about it.

I have nothing to add other than I just picked up one of these Ortlieb panniers at a thrift store for $4.99.

Waiting on a rack to make it work on my bike.

Can’t read your entire post (maybe because I’m new reddit app), but Ortlieb classics are PVC. Years ago they introduced a cordura material that was advertised as environmentally friendly as an alternative to the PVC. Now they have the classic in a version called Ortlieb Free (free of PVC).
