Upgraded a different bike recently and had a drop bar adventX groupset around. Decided to throw it on a 1985 Schwinn world frame I got for free. The frame originally has exposed shift cable routing, wanted to hear some opinions on whether I should run it exposed or figured out some other mounting method for a full housing run.
I was also thinking of potentially drilling through the existing mounts so that it can accommodate a full housing and use those to hold it in place?

I’d use the frame stops 100%. Your bike will shift better with as little housing as possible without introducing any sharp bends.
Anytime someone wants to drill the bike, I’m instantly out. Just use the stops. Maybe it shifts better exposed, but it 100% for sure will look better.
