Greetings everyone! A local ad has these Brooks saddles for 20€ each but they would obviously require some work. I am quite handy in DIY and probably would enjoy the restoration process, but will it be cheap enough to make it financially worth it? One in good condition goes for about 80-100€ , although black.

I’ve gotten a few old dried out leather saddles. With patient application of Proofide (Brooks brand leather conditioner) over about a month, the leather split the first time I sat on it. I had another one fail that was treated with some kind of oil (by someone else). My esxperience that sometimes the leather gets beyond a point where it can be salvaged.
