My bike of choice is the super versatile Orbea Occam. I have modified the bike with a bigger chainring, 7 speed drivetrain, air shock, 790mm bars and most importantly, fast rolling hard compound tyres.
The race itself was never going to be easy; The track is renowned for being very physical and with two 3-times world champions on the start list, my day in the saddle was set to be very tough…
