I opened a Shimano HB-M510 hub over the weekend because it was feeling very rough. No damages inside the hun itself but the bearings and this part of the axle are over.
What is the name of this part and where to find it? From memory there was 10 bearings I believe to be 1/4″. Thanks for the help!

It’s called a cone, and the Shimano part number is Y21L98020 (source: https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/ev/HB-M510-1894/EV-HB-M510-1894.pdf). Now that you have the part # you can search for it online, just be aware that many of dealers that come up in the search will be out-of-stock on that part.

For a front hub, it will be 3/16″ bearings, 10 per side.
It’s a cone, and while the replacement part might be available somewhere, it can sometimes be less expensive to buy a “new old stock” hub on eBay, and then use parts from that to rebuild your hub.
