Hi there,

I am looking for some upgrades for my [2019 Canyon Endurace AL 7.0](https://www.canyon.com/en-ch/endurace-al-7.0/2392.html).

From what I heard the biggest impact you can make on your ride is to upgrade the wheels.
Currently I am running the stock Fulcrum Racing 900 wheels with some GP5000 700×25 tires.

As the bike still came with rim brakes, I wonder if it is even worth it to upgrade, as good wheels will only be transferrable to newer bikes that are using rim brakes as well. It seems that the industry is moving forward to disc brakes in general, which I do like on my gravel bike (Grizl 8 1by) as well.

The current aluminium frame also limits me to 25mm tires, which is a bit of a shame with the industry moving to 30mm+ tires.

Do you guys think it will be worth it to upgrade the wheels, or rather just go for a new (maybe carbon) road bike with disc brakes instead?

Thanks!

you could get dt swiss oxic wheels (used maybe) which are quite light and great for braking. or get some modern carbon clinchers (like elite drive). also you need to try which tire fits in there. not all 25mm tires are 25mm wide, esp not on all rims.
