Hi guys. I’m planning to buy magene p505 power meter crank but i’m not sure it would work on my bike. I’m using 1x system with stone single chainring that is grx compatible and my local dealer said magene p505 is not compatible with 1x chainring, but why?? They are all shimano 110bcd and i think there’s no reason they do not work. Has anyone tried this?

After looking at it, 1x should be fine, just not with your GRX-compatible chainring. GRX rings mount behind the spider, whereas 1x road rings mount in front of it. So if you put a GRX ring on a road crank like the Magene, the ring would be set in too close to the frame. You’ll just need to get a 1x chainring made for Shimano road cranks.
