I ride a GT Avalanche hardtail.
What I believe is the chain, rattles a lot when I ride.
I’ve seen some advice on here that the derailleur should be at 4-5 o-clock.
Mine is sitting at around 6 it looks like.
Kind of just checking for some opinions before I change anything.

You have a 3 by drivetrain, I’m sorry there will be chain slap, however there are some chain guards that might help to quiet it down a bit. Also a better chainstay protector might help.
