I haven’t been able to find anyone using TT levers on alt bars such as these. I got the bars and some other parts for some work I did. So I’m building up my son’s former novara buzz and decided to see how this would look. I bought some cheap levers off Amazon (cansucc is the brand lol) and did have to remove 1mm of material from the inside of the bars. I do think this will look better than mtb brake levers and will also allow me to hide the cable under the bar tape. Now for the rear derailleur I’m still looking for a cheap bar end friction shifter or may end up using a mtb one. What are your alls thoughts and opinions. I’ve got too many bikes here and will be building this to sale.

I did this with origin8 bar end levers which did fit without modification. I really like how it worked out. I got the levers cheap otherwise it probably would have been more cost effective to use regular drop bars and levers considering how expensive the surly corner bars are.
Is this a genuine Corner bar or one of the alloy copies from Ali? My Surly Corners will take reverse levers and barcons without alteration.
With that said, I guess I don’t see the point of using this bar in this manner. I get that you /can/ do it and you feel that it looks better but if you are going to use road oriented reverse levers and barcons, why not use a regular drop bar? Drops have more hand positions, more width and sweep options, and cost less. Not to mention that, if you add barcons, you will have to route the brake cable in one direction and the shift cable in the other along the same channel… Maybe I just don’t get your overall plan.
To me the Corner isn’t a very practical or comfortable bar unless you specifically want a gravel drop feel with your 22.2 mountain components. If you are going to use short pull levers and road shifters, why not spend less for a more comfortable drop bar, aero levers and barcons? Or even cheap integrated levers? That seems more practical to me.
