
The intention is to change the current adjustable quill stem of the bike to a ‘fixed’ stem that would normally attach to the fork tube. But in my bike, it’s not like that, as you can probably see from the picture. Can I solve this problem by getting a separate tube with a similar clamp and attaching the new stem to it?
The idea is to install a Surly Corner Bar handlebar or some similar copy because why not, and also to expand the handlebar selection on the bike.

What precisely is your problem? If it is that you need a split clamp to install “multi-tube” bars, there are some non-adjustable stems, [Ergotec](https://www.ergotec.de/en/products/vorbauten/sub/schaft-vorbau.html) comes to mind, or you use an adapter for ahead stems.
