Hello everyone, I have a question, when I changed the spacers (litmus) on my bike, the steering play accidentally came off and when I tried to rearrange it and put everything back together it looks like this, I have tried it several times but I have not been able to leave it without that small space. My question is: how could I solve this or is it normal? Is it a serious problem or could it cause damage to my bike? thank you so much.

Hard to say for sure, it kinda looks like your upper bearing isn’t seated properly.
If in doubt I would say pull it all apart and try seat it again, let the bike settle on the fork and then tighten the top cap and see if it’s any better.
What’s your process for setting preload on the steerer tube bearings?
Are you tightening down the top cap before you do up the stem bolts?
