The frame looks like aluminium fittings and glued carbon tubing.
I own a 1992 liyang Pro frame set up the same way. Check for the seams where they are glued while someone else rocks the bike side to side to see if they are sturdy. I’ve fixen one on my with super glue, itll show how good that lasts..
Fork is an “Amp Research” fork I believe.
Did you put the name on the headtube label into a google search? Always a good start.
It’s either carbon fiber tubes or aluminum tubes bonded to aluminum lugs. Amp Research fork. You’re welcome.
Asking questions about a bike and then not including a picture of the whole bike is…. interesting.
Speculating based on the shape of the lugs, think it’s a giant from early 90s. But that’s a guess.
Probably a Giant Cadex CFM-1.
We could use a drive side picture of the entire bike.
Looks like an OEM’d Giant Cadex
The frame looks like a Giant Cadex CFM-1 with an after-market rear brake stay stiffener added. The fork looks like an AMP Research fork which would also would have been added aftermarket.
If you are serious about finding out what you have really need to post more photos.
That looks the same as my Giant Cadex frame. I removed the paint too since i think the Al/Magnesium lugs look really cool.
It looks like a Cadex, but it’s not. The lugs are shaped different on this bike and the tubes are fitted flush on a Cadex. Now it might of been made by Giant for another brand, but it’s def not a Cadex.
Not to mention you don’t spell Cadex Aera…
For all the people saying it’s a Giant Cadex CFM, I’m not sure about that. The shape of the headtube doesn’t quite look right. Also, the Giant frames have a little Giant logo stamped into the drop outs.

It is from sometime in the late 1980s to early 1990s, that’s when manufactures were make aluminum and carbon fiber frames, joining these materials using lugs and epoxy.

The frame looks like the tall bastard, albeit lovely, child of a Mongoose IBOC Carbon and The first gen Giant Cadex. I had the chance to ride both back in the day and there are some features resembling both. My take is your frame is either an pre-production engineering prototype or a unbranded clone.
Either way he frame looks great, I would inspect for delamination and the bong between tubes and pipes before giving any proper riding.
The fork is an AMP, by the looks a first gen, around 90-92. Like all AMP forks, they require constant maintenance, and the cartridge on yours looka past is prime. Bushing ls must be replaced too, better safe than sorry.
Anyway, this could become a great vintage build or gravel conversion – look at the amount of tyre clearance!
