You could probably find something newer for a similar price, depending on exactly what you want from a bike
Also the add says hydraulic brakes, but the photo clearly shows cable actuated ones.
It seemed to be a well rated bike in its time though, and if it’s still in good condition might be worth making a counter offer on

If this is in Georgia, I saw the same bike being offered & they would have taken $600. Decent price but $500 is the sweet spot.
