It used to be a Hercules (Indian brand) single speed cycle when I bought it new for 7000 rupees (roughly 100 dollars) I have since upgraded it to a 7 speed, got better tyres, a longer seatpost, a new seat. Found a quill drop bar in a cycle dump near my place so I took it and put it on my cycle as well with flat bar brake levers. Temporary solution till I get the hood brake levers and I’ll use the shifter from the current setup by removing the brake lever from it.
