Has anyone had experience with the Vittoria Terreno Dry TNT having a short tread life? I’ve using them for a few months now and have already burned through a couple. I love the tire and how it handles all conditions but I can’t seem to get more than 1000 miles out of them. (75%/25% gravel/pavement)

Yeah, I had the same experience. Good tire, crappy tread life
Almost every account I’ve read about these tires has called out their short tread life (and according to BRR they’re pretty thin, so it’s not surprising). Since I really liked the design of these for my riding conditions I tried them anyway as my first gravel tire (though my mix is closer to 50/50 if not more than 50% pavement as I’m always riding out the front door).
Given the caveat that I’ve rotated the tires (against people’s advice to never put a worn rear tire on the front) and I’ve patched one of them from the inside after a puncture that wouldn’t fully seal, I’m still on 2,238 miles and counting on this first pair, including a 5-day loaded tour and a few adventures on relatively tame singletrack. They’re probably going to go any day now so I already have a set of Tufo Thunderos ready to swap in, but for a ~155 lb rider I can’t complain about the life I’ve squeezed out of the Terrenos.
center tread almost nonexistent on that tyre, 0.5mm?
I switched to the Pathfinders pro because the tereno drys gave me a puncture every other day. Bit more expensive but handles way better and also im Punctureless with tubes since about 3 weeks. Even did some tours through nasty stuff, these things are not overhyped.
