Primoz Roglic bora is undoubtedly one of the best cyclists in the world and one of the favorites to win Tour de France 2024. However, his career is surprisingly linked to that of Alexey Tsatevich, a Russian cyclist who spent his entire career with the Katusha team of tycoon Igor Makarov and Joaquim Rodriguez and the Gazprom of Alexander Foliforov and Alexander Kolobnev. However, while Roglic will be looking for the yellow jersey against Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard or Remco Evenepoel, Tsatevich, who beat Roglic on a WorldTour stage in 2016, has passed away in anonymity at the age of 34. He is the broken toy of Russian doping in cycling and sport in general.

Reasons why I don't pay much attention to Pro Cycling at all, it's nothing more than a rolling Pharmacy. Here in Holland pre covid a SEMI Pro cyclist he died of a Heart attack while competing in a race, it left us wondering as to how in the hell did a 20 plus year old coming into his own ends up dying of a Heart attack during a race. Wanting to make it to the big show many times it simply doesn't pay off.
