Just finished a build for my 15yr old son. Leftover Trek 920 frame, Complete Deore 12s tip to tail, and Shimano mountain wheelset. Tires are Bontrager Saint-Anne 2.4” new takeoffs from my bike when I got it. Will bring him down to a 2”/50mm tire when I find the right one. We ride mainly old closed fire roads in the Adirondacks in NY. He’s growing like a weed so I’m sure I’ll be starting another build for him this time next year.
