The jank continues with a sun-bleached cruiser seat, a clapped out p-clamped cargo rack, and a super-dooper riser quill. Final flair is the lightweight aluminum dork disc, which, at 48g, counteracts the burdensome rotational mass of the chrome rims, obviously.
Took it for a shakedown ride last night and despite how completly awful it should be, I freaking love it. Gonna be hard, but giving it away. The $25 spend on the Ali crank was worth it. 34×14:28 gearing is great for this commuter setup. 17mph in 5th is quite nice. That’s fast enough. Godspeed!

I remember one of my buddies at the old co-op had a vintage cruiser frame in one of the bike stands one day, and he was in the process of fitting it with a suspension fork. I love this kind of build.
