Don’t mean to annoy or “pollute” FGB with “would this” or “should I” but just trying to understand what gives a frame the ability to be fixed gear. Is it the dropouts? Saw this frame and wondering if this would work to convert into fixed. TIA for any help 🙏🏼😎

The drop outs are quite short so you might need a quick link on your chain and after your chain wears it will be more obvious than if you could have more wheel adjustment ability

Aside from dropout shape you need to account for spacing. What’s the rear frame spacing, and is there a track hub you could fit? Some hubs have replaceable axles (Phil, Paul, probably others) to fit different frame spacings.

I ride a 2014 P2, works excellently, you can probably get away with the dropouts if you have spacers for a sketchy fix, I personally have an eccentric hub from white industries that work beautifully. Highly recommended.

OP, the frame probably has 130mm dropout spacing, whereas track hubs are typically 120. You’ll need to build a wheel around a track hub with wider spacing, like the Surly one
You can make it work. I personally Kano a woman who got one used and converted it for velodrome racing. The bike goes like the wind.
