I have a 20 mile commute to work, and I’m looking to start bike commuting! When I lived 2 miles from work, I would always bike, but I’m starting a new job and I think I’d like an e-bike so I’m a bit less sweaty when I get to work lol.
Anyway, what do you think of the Velotric T1 ST E-Bike? Personally, I love the color, and think it has a good range. But I’m new to e-bikes, and I’m not sure how it will do on hills. What do you guys think?

I know this sounds obvious but for that price point you are getting a bike built at that price point.
I find that the “bike” portion of an E-bike is generally terrible at that price.
It should be ok for some time but hopefully you can get a bike mechanic to give it a once over to make sure everything is set up properly.
Seems to be highly reviewed and other people on Reddit say they love it tho.
Looks like this one has integrated battery. You need to do some research on how easy it is to replace the battery. I would buy something with more generic external battery that I can buy from third party, or in case I want to swap battery for extra range.
They even advertise their “proprietary drive system”? No bike mechanic is gonna touch this if you have an issue.
20 miles might be pushing the range so I would consider if you could charge it at work. It should have no problem getting you up hills though dependent on your weight. I was considering getting this bike myself but got another on sale. I hate chunky ebikes due to the weight and look so I’m sure I would have loved this one.
