    Deflate, remove the screw-on ring, push the valve deep into the tyre, do NOT install the ring, inflate, screw the ring gently on.

    You need to deflate it and push the valve in, the tube is pinched or restricted around the valve. Then pull the valve back out and inflate again.

  4. Your inner tube overlaps by the valve, making it twice as thick. This means it’s stiffer there and will bulge less for same pressure.

    It’s most noticeable if running a cheap thick butyl inner tube with a lightweight/thin casing tire – running a latex or TPU tube will be less so but still technically present.
