Hi,

My new Aeroad SLX 8 just arrived and I’ve noticed a minor issue out of the box. Specifically, letters A and D are missing on the logo. (As shown in the picture).

Now, it’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect the bike performance in any way obviously. However, it’s still a new and expensive bike…

What do you guys think is the best course of action here? Is it worth the hassle of returning it and ordering a new one while it’s still in stock? (I am at day 1 of 30 of return policy currently).

Those who chose to return their Canyon bike, did you use the original shipping package?

    Both lighter weight and more aero. Just kidding, that’s super annoying. It’s still early spring. Ask for either a return or a new graphic to be sent to you + credit. A bummer when your big day is spoiled by something so easy for them to QA/QC.

  2. I would return it. I have been hearing a lot of quality control issues lately from Canyon. To spend the much on a bike and tk to see crap like this is wrong! If people don’t call them out and make them pay for issues, they will continue allowing crap quality to leave there!

  3. Get in touch with Canyon and see what they say. They may want to find a solution that avoid you returning the bike or they may prefer you return it.

    As others have suggested, if they suggest sending you the graphic then do get some additional compensation – both for your time and the fact that the bike isn’t like new in its current state.

    I returned an aeroad last month, they have a return video for disassembly back into the bike box it was delivered in. It’s basically just the opposite of the assembly video.

  4. Return, and get a new one. Canyon really starts getting on my nerves. You buy a high end bike, but you still need to pay for shipment, are forced to buy a box for your package and then you get a product with obvious quality flawns.

    Sorry for the rant, got Endurace SLX yesterday and I’m quite disappointed with frame painting 😐

  5. Wow that’s annoying as hell…) either you put a sticker over it and enjoy the cashback or you send it back and hope for a new one… I would send it back but I’m a little special
