  2. He definitely was what you’d call a hard man no other actor (hard man) even Ollie Reed or indeed Robert Mitchum gets closer, probably a form of mental illness a psychopath in other words, most of them function ‘normally’ mostly!.

  3. Extra marks for correctly referring to Fulham as South-West London and not West London. I grew up there; Fulham has a South-West postal district (SW6) and, despite being north of the river, has far more in common with Putney and Wandsworth than it has with Shepherd's Bush, Ealing or Acton.

I'm in my 70s now I took a live in job in a pub on the Kinngs road the Chelsea potters this was how I met boffo I must admit I was terrified of him as he really hurt people for no reason he smashed a soda syphon across my toes head just because he told buffo he was inn the middle of serving someone you'll have to wait a min that caused a very bad injury to my mate head he was just showing of in front of Vicky hodge who I thought egged him on b ut in a nice way also twiggy was not far behind I think the land lord of the pub was a bit of a face his name was John bishop he had a big town house in flood street where his wife took us as live in staff to a slap up Sunday dinner btw this old lady was the only one who could run in at boffo give hime a slap and tell him to turn it in without a fright in her body less to say if binnden kicked off my only hope was her being around
