Don’t unscrew the lock ring with the word unscrew on it, trouble will follow.

2 prong is not a great design. I used to use the QR skewer to hold the tool in place so it didn’t slip & strip.
Set the qr almost tight, but a little wiggle room. After the freewheel cracks loose, you can remove the qr to finish removing the freewheel.
