
I know it’s not locked up to the post, but both tires are locked to the frame, and I have a motion sensor alarm on the bike when it’s locked up.
I feel safe enough with this setup to lock it to nothing. But only in specific areas. In other places, I tend to lock it up as shown, to make it seem like it’s locked to the post at a glance.

I take a hammer to the alarm. I pick your bike up and put it in my trailer/van. You don’t have a bike any more.
It needs to be locked to a post otherwise someone will lift it. I know it looks too heavy to onlookers given all the random stuff you have taped to it, but a bike thief will see money bags, pick the whole thing up and throw it into a truck bed in about 5 seconds. They’ll cut the locks and strip the clutter in the safety of their garage
why go through all the effort of putting on multiple locks but not actually lock to anything
This is dumb. You have the locks, just lock it to the post.
