The strap is for vibration dampening rather than air flow redirection I think, but the way you put it does make more sense

Mate are you still using the python calibration tool for ds4? Guess what, I found a way to calibrate ds4 AND ds5 (permanent firmware override) in less than 30 seconds without any tools.
