Finally pulled the trigger after haunting Priority’s page for at least a year. For anyone who has been doing the same – do it. I am an everyday commuter (about 4-5 miles each way depending on route), and the bike has been amazing.

Despite concerns some voiced about the bike’s weight from the Pinion (27 lbs or so) the bike is lively and responsive. The Pinion is very easy to use once you get used to not pedaling when you shift, and is awfully convenient at stop lights. It does have fairly low gearing (I live at around 8-10 out of 12) but I also live in the flatlands of southeastern Virginia – I could see how someone with hills in their commute would really appreciate the choice of low gearing. And speaking of Virginia, the Gates carbon drive and Pinion have already proven themselves in wet, sloppy weather.

The biggest negatives I can come up with are the fenders and lights, which are most just underwhelming rather than truly negative. And easy enough problems to fix.
