I noticed that I have to pull very far to shift from gear 3 to 2 in my 6 speed C line.
I noticed the wire is very loose is this normal ?

There’s a video from Brompton on how to adjust your indicator chain – it’s pretty straightforward, but tricky to explain here. In gear three it will be slightly slack, but possibly not that slack.
Put it second gear and look through the little hole in the wheel nut. In that gear, you should just be able to see the shoulder of the rod that the indicator chain is connected to. If this is not the case, you need to adjust the cable tension until it is.
